It seemed so sad to snip off perfectly good buds to enable the rose to grow stronger. Yet I knew it was important to make a stable rose. And God knows that about us. Sometimes we have to prune truly good things in order to be strengthened and focus on His plan for us. It can be quite a painful pruning, as you have discovered.
