Sunday Scribbling: I am CRAZY about myself

CONFESSIONS OF TODAY'S SOCIETY:

I don't LIKE myself, I am CRAZY about myself.

In fact, I write about myself almost daily in my own blog. I even tweet about myself all day long.

TIME magazine released its person of the year in 2006 was YOU. Now, it's ME.

Favorite past times, checking my growing list of connections in LinkedIn, friends in Facebook and followers in Twitter. I check in on these lists frequently and boast and brag to my husband.

But, if no one comments on my post or accepts my friend request, I am crushed! I feel so sad and lonely.

The question begs to differ, am I really crazy about myself, or just plain crazy?

Haha what a good post! It is so true, we talk about ourselves all day long, update people on our every move. Really liked this one :)

Now that rings of truth. I think that we all feel that way at times. We do a Scribble or work hard at a post, patting ourselves on the back, of course, for a job so well done. We then check back to see if anyone has read it and see that horrid "0 comments" bit. "Oh poop."

Rejection brings us down a few notches.

That was a great post - no its all true and if you're crazy then we are all crazy too. I think all it means is that we are all in need of a bit of attention and sometimes lonely in various ways. Thats why we blog and twitter (although I just cannot get into that) etc. I dont do facebook either 0 for some absurd reason I think its for kids just because my daughter and her friends are addicted to it. I don't have time to do anything but blog besides!

By the way I am too old and now past it but I just read that when you get to 39 your brain is the best its ever going to be (just put a link to it in the left hand column of my blog) so given you are yet to be your best I expect some wonderful posts like this one again. You have a wicked sense of humor and I love seeing it in your posts!! Maybe a book deal when you are 39!

This was fun... and don't concern yourself with crazy -- all of us who have chosen to remain on this spaceship we call earth, must be a little nuts!! ;)

Who was it that said 'If you're not crazy you're insane!' or was it 'You've got to be crazy to be sane!'
anyway...

LOL - you're not crazy! I know I get so excited when someone posts a comment on my blog, even though between work and boys and everything else it sometimes takes me a few days to respond.

See, I've been around the certifiably crazy, so I can tell you as an expert that you are not certifiable. Crazy people just aren't funny.

And you are funny, and clever, and refreshing and authentic.
