Another money saving tip... spend less money.
Only use cash, make a list and stick to a budget.
Try to make arrangements beforehand with family members to make plans for everyone to only buy gifts for immediate family and the children.

How about this -- get your significant other hooked on knitting. Convince him to crank out snuggly, colorful, hand-made scarves for all the women on your Christmas list?
